A pair of vintage silver and marcasite brooches, likely dating to the 1940s based on comparable examples. The left piece features a stylized bird motif, possibly a peacock or phoenix, with an elaborate, scrolled, curvilinear design. The right brooch displays an intricate floral and foliate arrangement. Both items are fashioned from a silver-tone metal, consistent with silver or sterling silver as suggested by web intelligence, and are heavily adorned with numerous small, faceted, dark, metallic-lustered stones characteristic of marcasite. Pin mechanisms are present on the reverse of each. No visible text or maker’s marks are discernible.
