Another Great Auction from Doncaster Auction Centre, including Jewellery, Collectibles, Vintage, Retro, A Real Eclectic Mix
A collection of eight vintage personal accessories, primarily crafted from metal. Included are two small spoons: one yellow metal souvenir spoon featuring a crown-like finial, engraved “GOD SAVE THE KING” on the handle and “QUEENSLAND 1937” in the bowl; and another ornate silver-toned small spoon with a decorative handle. Three small folding pocket knives are present: two with cream-colored handle scales, likely bone or a synthetic material, and one with mottled blue/black handle scales. Also featured is a small spatula or spreader with a dark, textured blade and a cream-colored handle. A pair of folding travel scissors in silver-toned metal, consistent with types identified in market research as ‘Folding Scissors’, is part of the collection. Completing the group is a polished metal lighter engraved with a star and the text “ALGRA” (or “ALGRAPA”).
