This lot comprises two items: a rectangular, hinged brass or gold-toned metal case and a circular silver-toned metal medallion. The case is adorned with an enamel-detailed military-style badge featuring a crown, lion, and a blue scroll inscribed with the Latin motto “FIDE ET FIDUCIA” (By faith and by trust). The medallion is dated “1954” and features the outer inscription “S.R. (A) INTER STATION MATCH”. Its central design includes a crown above a Royal Air Force Bomber Command emblem, depicting an eagle in flight, encircled by the text “ROYAL AIR FORCE” and “BOMBER COMMAND,” with a lower scroll bearing the English motto “STRIKE HARD STRIKE SURE.”
