A collection of British-published ‘Commando War Stories in Pictures’ comic books, with some also marked ‘For Action and Adventure.’ Printed on paper and cardstock, these comics feature a consistent style of dynamic, illustrated covers depicting various military conflicts, personnel, and vehicles, predominantly from the mid-20th century. Visible issue numbers range widely, from earlier issues such as No. 279 to later ones including No. 2818. Cover prices of 24p, 30p, and 50p indicate publication from the 1970s onwards. Specific titles visible within the collection include ‘Red Runs the River,’ ‘Teeth of the Dragon,’ ‘Circus at War,’ ‘Ace Versus Ace,’ and ‘Convoy Killer.’ Barcodes are present on many issues.
