A collection of ten Matchbox ‘Models of Yesteryear’ die-cast toy vehicles, each presented in its original, windowed cardboard packaging. The collection comprises miniature replicas of early 20th-century commercial and passenger vehicles, with specific models dating from 1912 to 1930. These include various 1912 Ford Model T types, a 1930 Ford ‘A’, a 1922 A.E.C. ‘S’ Type Omnibus, and a 1927 Talbot. Each vehicle features a distinct period livery, showcasing brands such as BP, Express Dairy, Smith’s Potato Crisps, OXO, Suze (with the French inscription “A LA GENTIANE”), Cerebos Table Salt, Harrods Express Delivery, Colman’s Mustard, Lipton’s Tea, and Schweppes Tonic Water. The packaging is marked with various “Y-” series model numbers and multi-language age recommendations, including “FOR AGES 8 AND OVER,” “A PARTIR DE 8 ANS,” and “FÜR ALLE ALTERSGRUPPEN AB 8 JAHREN.”
