Another Great Auction from Doncaster Auction Centre, including Jewellery, Collectibles, Vintage, Retro, A Real Eclectic Mix
A group of four decorative items. The primary item is a large, pale yellow ceramic divided serving dish by Carlton Ware, in a mid-century style, adorned with hand-painted green foliage. The base is marked “Carlton Ware, Handpainted, Made in England, Registered, Australian Design,” and bears a “3923” sticker. Accompanying this is a small, white hexagonal Coalport Fine Bone China commemorative dish, featuring a blue and gold starburst design. It is marked on the front “THE FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE TRAINING SCHOOL 1860 1960” and on the reverse “TO COMMEMORATE THE CENTENARY OF THE FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE TRAINING SCHOOL COALPORT FINE BONE CHINA AD.1750.” Also present is a red, egg-shaped decorative box, possibly enameled metal, with intricate gold-colored scrollwork, mounted on a three-footed gold-toned stand. Completing the group is a small rectangular hinged trinket box, featuring a white ceramic top panel with blue floral decoration set within a decorative gold-toned metal frame.
