Another Great Auction from Doncaster Auction Centre, including Jewellery, Collectibles, Vintage, Retro, A Real Eclectic Mix
A collection of ceramic wares, comprising three pieces of Wedgwood ‘Edme’ pattern and one Royal Worcester ‘Evesham’ pattern dish. The Wedgwood items, predominantly in cream glaze with a vertically fluted design, include a footed urn-shaped bowl, an oval footed bowl, and a fan-shaped vase/holder. The oval bowl’s base is stamped “WEDGWOOD of ETRURIA & BARLASTON MADE IN ENGLAND” with impressed ‘6 S’ and ‘4-1’. The Royal Worcester piece is a fluted, round or oval dish, decorated with the ‘Evesham’ pattern featuring painted peaches, apples, and berries, and a gold rim. Its base is marked “ROYAL WORCESTER FLAMEPROOF ENGLAND OVEN & TABLE DISHWASHER PROOF EVESHAM” and retains a partially worn “Guaranteed Flameproof” instruction sticker with impressed ‘S4800 69’. All items exhibit a neoclassical or mid-century influence.
