A large, antique full leather-bound book, identified as “THE HISTORY OF DONCASTER, AND Its Vicinity” by Miller. The book features a rich reddish-brown (cognac) leather finish with extensive gilt tooling on the front cover and spine. The front cover bears a central gilt crest with the Latin motto “SOLI COMFORTI ET LIBERI” (For the sole comfort and free men/children), indicating its provenance from “THE DONCASTER GRAMMAR SCHOOL”.
