A bronze figural sculpture by J. Rousseau, dating from the late 19th to early 20th century, depicting a putto-like child pulling a two-wheeled cart with a basket-weave texture. Executed in an academic or naturalistic style, the bronze displays a dark, aged patination with prominent green verdigris, particularly visible on the leafy garlands adorning the child and lining the cart. The piece is mounted on a rectangular polished black marble base. An incised signature, ‘J. Rousseau,’ is present on the bronze base near the child’s foot.
