Another Great Auction from Doncaster Auction Centre, including Jewellery, Collectibles, Vintage, Retro, A Real Eclectic Mix
A hanging kerosene or oil lamp, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. The lamp features a white opaque glass shade, often referred to as opaline or milk glass, with a decorative beaded metal rim. It is suspended by a twisted metal frame attached to a metal chain. The fuel reservoir and burner mechanism are crafted from what appears to be tarnished brass or bronzed metal, featuring intricate openwork patterns around the burner. No clear manufacturer’s marks or legible text are visible.
