The instrument is housed in its original black hardshell case, marked “SUZUKI MELODION Bass-24 JAPAN.” Accompanying the instrument are two paper documents: a colorful Suzuki Melodion promotional flyer and a black and white instruction manual or music booklet, which includes Japanese text such as “株式会社 鈴木楽器” (Suzuki Musical Instrument Corporation) and “演奏上の注意” (Notes on Performance).
