Another Great Auction from Doncaster Auction Centre, including Jewellery, Collectibles, Vintage, Retro, A Real Eclectic Mix
This diverse collection comprises a variety of commemorative and souvenir items, predominantly crafted from ceramic and glass. Central to the collection are two anniversary-themed bottles. The first is a large glass Champagne H. Germain bottle (Reims, Brut, Kelly-la-Grange), vibrantly painted in French flag colors, featuring an airplane silhouette, and commemorating “1945-1995”. The second is a smaller dark glass bottle with a gold foil top, marked “Battle of Britain 50th Anniversary 1940-1990” and depicting a raptor.
Ceramic pieces include a blue and white relief-decorated lidded stein with a pewter lid; a large white bowl with a blue rim and a biplane illustration; a matching white plate and saucer set adorned with various transportation motifs, including a biplane, a ship, and a hot air balloon; a small white mug featuring a crest with partially visible text “USA” and “GERMANY”; and an earth-toned decorative plate with a relief image of a bird clutching a snake.
Rounding out the assortment are several clear glass items, comprising a tumbler marked “Harley Davidson” and a small plain mug.
