A single-breasted overcoat, predominantly dark in color, crafted from “GANNEX CLOTH,” a waterproof material. The coat features a vibrant red, black, and yellow tartan lining. It is secured with dark metal buttons, each embossed with “HALIFAX BOROUGH POLICE” encircling a central crest depicting an animal head. Internal labels identify the fabric as “GANNEX CLOTH” manufactured by “KAGAN TEXTILES LIMITED, Gannex Mills, Elland, Yorks.” The garment was manufactured by “J. COMPTON & SONS WEBB LTD,” with labels noting “WATERPROOF,” “BY APPOINTMENT TO H.M. THE QUEEN,” and “MADE IN ENGLAND.” Cleaning instructions advise against dry-cleaning.
