A pair of vintage brown leather or leatherette suitcases, likely dating to the 1930s. Each features metal hardware and leather handles. They exhibit significant surface wear, scratches, scuffs, and discolouration consistent with extensive use and age. One suitcase shows remnants of a large, torn paper label. Accompanying the suitcases is a collection of paper periodicals, including “The BIBBY CALENDAR 1929” and “BIBBY’S JOURNAL.” Also present is a pamphlet titled “THE FABRICS for the R.M.S. QUEEN MARY” by “ROSEBANK FABRICS,” noting “ROSEBANK PRINTWORKS RAMSBOTTOM, NEAR MANCHESTER.” These paper items suggest a collection spanning from the late 1920s to the mid-1930s.
