Another Great Auction from Doncaster Auction Centre, including Jewellery, Collectibles, Vintage, Retro, A Real Eclectic Mix
A collection of five model aircraft, including examples by Corgi Aviation Archive and Amercom. This lot features a black twin-engine aircraft with white D-Day stripes and British roundels, components (propellers) separate within its red-backed packaging, likely representing a WWII-era bomber; a multi-engine bomber in green and brown camouflage, also adorned with British roundels; a white Concorde supersonic jet model with “BRITISH AIRWAYS CONCORDE,” “FIRST FLIGHT 1969,” and “G-BOAC” inscribed on its display stand, indicating a late 20th-century civilian aircraft; and two individual WWI-era biplanes, one brown and one green, both featuring British roundels. Primarily constructed from painted plastic or die-cast metal, all models appear to be in new, unopened condition within their original, sealed plastic blister packaging or boxes. Additional visible text includes “CDM,” “MADE IN CHINA,” and partial text such as “AMER” and “Model koploper…” (Dutch for “Model leader…”).
