A decorative mechanical pocket watch crafted from a brass or bronze-toned base metal, featuring a beige dial with Roman numerals, a visible balance wheel at 4 o’clock, a sub-seconds dial at 6 o’clock, and a moon phase indicator at 9 o’clock, inscribed with “Guahang.” The outer front cover displays a vibrant circular cloisonné or enamel-style decoration in dark blue, light blue, red, and teal, with geometric and stylized floral patterns, set within an ornate metal frame. The inner back cover is extensively engraved with French text, including “MÉDAILLES OBTENUES” (Medals Obtained), “AUDEMARS FRÈRES GENEVE,” “DIPLOME D’HONNEUR” (Diploma of Honor), “BRUXELLES 1883,” “PARIS,” “VIENNE,” “ANVERS,” and “AUDEMARS FRÈRES FOURNIT EN 1883 A LA COUR IMPERIALE” (Audemars Brothers supplied in 1883 to the Imperial Court), surrounded by medallion motifs and a coat of arms, connecting to a matching metal chain. The design and engravings suggest an homage to antique Swiss watchmaking, while the ‘Guahang’ inscription on the dial indicates its likely origin as a modern decorative piece.
