A figural glass chess piece, designed by Zdenek Juna and produced by Heinrich Hoffmann, Czechoslovakia, circa 1934. This small decorative bust depicts a young male figure with styled hair, wearing a uniform-like garment detailed with a star emblem. The bust is cast from dark glass and is set upon a circular gilt metal base. The base features a band of white triangular inlays, likely enamel or painted, while its underside is adorned with an ornate, repeating gilt scrollwork pattern.
