A Beswick ceramic pheasant dish/ashtray. This polychrome-glazed ceramic decorative dish depicts a realistically rendered pheasant figurine standing on an irregularly shaped, naturalistic base. The pheasant is vibrantly colored in glazes of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and black. The base is sculpted with green foliage and rock formations, featuring a central depression painted with blue and white, suggesting a pond or pool. The underside is marked with a black circular stamp reading “BESWICK ENGLAND”.
