A Lladro porcelain figurine titled ‘Appreciation’ (model number 1396), also known as ‘Attentive Valencian Girl’, designed by Salvador Debon. This figurine depicts a young woman seated in an ornate, high-backed chair. She is dressed in a light blue floral-patterned gown with a white lace-effect apron and ruffled top, her dark hair styled up and adorned. The woman holds a small bouquet of pink roses, looking down at them, with two small white ovoid objects resting in her lap. The chair itself is intricately detailed with Baroque or Spanish colonial-style carvings, highlighted with gilded or brown wash accents against a cream base. The underside is clearly marked with the “LLADRÓ” brand name and its characteristic crown/bell logo, along with “HAND MADE IN SPAIN” and the copyright “© DAISA 1982.” This model was issued in 1982 and retired in 1997.
