Another New Auction
A group of three glazed ceramic figurines by Royal Albert, England, depicting anthropomorphic animal characters from the Beatrix Potter series. The first figurine, identified as ‘Foxy Whiskered Gentleman’, portrays a fox dressed in a green jacket and pink waistcoat. The second, ‘Mrs. Tittlemouse’, is a brown mouse sitting on a patterned cushion. The third, ‘Miss Moppet’, is a striped cat holding a blue and white patterned object. All figurines bear “ROYAL ALBERT ENGLAND” marks on their bases, along with specific character names and copyright dates for F. Warne & Co and Royal Albert Ltd. ‘Mrs. Tittlemouse’ is copyrighted 1992, and ‘Miss Moppet’ is copyrighted 1989. Incised or handwritten numbers and letters (“93”, “IL”, “101”, “B”) are also visible on the bases. The items indicate a late 20th-century production period.
