Another New Auction
A collection of three commemorative items, comprising an Official Imperial War Museums ‘Forward!’ Gold Layered Ingot and two commemorative coins. The rectangular ingot features the “FORWARD! ENLIST NOW” military recruitment poster design on its obverse. Its reverse displays a “YOU” casino chip motif, the “IWM IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM” logo, and partially visible text indicating “1 OZ .999 FINE” and “LIMITED EDITION”. Web intelligence suggests this ingot is 24 Carat Gold Layered or 22ct gold plated. The first circular coin, with a metallic gold finish and multi-colored enamel, commemorates “WWII – 6.6. 1944-D.DAY” with a “6TH DA. PEGASUS AIR BORNE” paratrooper on its obverse, and the “PEGASUS BRIDGE Bénouville” over a Union Jack on its reverse. The second circular coin, also with a metallic gold finish and multi-colored enamel, displays the “DEPARTMENT OF THE NAVY UNITED STATES OF AMERICA U.S. NAVY” eagle-over-ship emblem on its obverse, and the “USS ORISKANY – CV-34 UNITED STATES NAVY” aircraft carrier against a US flag backdrop on its reverse.
