A WW1 Period Mizpah Love Token Pendant, crafted from a copper or copper alloy. The circular medallion features a suspension loop at the top. The obverse displays a central heart motif topped by a bow, inscribed with the English text "THE LORD WATCH BETWEEN THEE AND ME WHEN WE ARE ABSENT ONE FROM ANOTHER" and prominently "MIZPAH." The border includes dots and the text "MADE IN BAVARIA." The reverse similarly displays a heart motif topped by a bow, surrounded by ivy leaves, containing a Latin cross, an anchor, and a smaller plain heart. "MIZPAH" is a Hebrew word meaning "watchtower" or "watch, " often associated with tokens exchanged between loved ones during separation.
Approximately 1.5 inches diameter.
