Another New Auction
A commemorative desk clock featuring a central quartz clock with a gold-toned bezel and face, marked ‘QUARTZ’ and ‘MADE IN GERMANY’. The clock is flanked by two spherical objects: an off-white ball with dark stitched markings, resembling an early baseball or cricket ball, and an off-white dimpled ball with dark markings, akin to an early golf ball. These balls are referenced by partially visible smaller plaques on either side, specifically ‘GUSNIES & MENS CIRCA 1830’ and ‘HASKELL CIRCA 1900’. All components are mounted on a multi-tiered, rectangular dark brown base with a textured, possibly faux-leather finish. A central metallic plaque reads ‘MAURITIUS PRO-AM 1999 WITH PETER ALLISS & ALEX HAY’.
