Another New Auction
A Walker & Hall gilt metal teaspoon, presented with its original cardboard box. The spoon features a traditional design and exhibits a yellowish-golden metallic luster, currently obscured by significant overall tarnish and patina. Visible hallmarks on the spoon’s handle include a crowned symbol, a floral motif, a capital letter ‘B’, and the initials ‘JD&S’, each enclosed within a rectangular cartouche. The accompanying cardboard box displays creasing, discoloration, and general wear consistent with age, and is prominently marked with ‘WHH’, ‘WM’, ‘WWW’, a ‘WH’ flag logo, and the manufacturer’s name and location: ‘Walker & Hall – Sheffield’.
