A Made in Italy cobalt blue glass lidded candy dish, hand-painted in the Chinoiserie style. Crafted from deep cobalt blue glass, it is extensively decorated with gold and polychrome enameling. The flat, domed lid features a central finial with gold and white dot detailing, and its surface depicts a landscape scene with a red-roofed pagoda, trees, and scrolling foliate motifs. The cylindrical body of the box is embellished with stylized gold branches, dots, and decorative bands. The underside bears a rectangular gold mark with Japanese characters reading “イタリー製” (Itarī-sei), which translates to “Made in Italy.”
