The coin is housed in a clear plastic capsule and presented within its original dark blue hinged case with a cream satin interior, marked “ROYAL MINT” and bearing the Royal Coat of Arms. The coin’s obverse features the inscription “QUEEN ELIZABETH THE QUEEN MOTHER” and the year “1990” twice, surrounding a design including a crown, intertwined initials, a rose, and a thistle. An accompanying certificate identifies the piece as a “90th Birthday Silver Proof Crown.”
