Another New Auction
A 2000 Royal Mint United Kingdom Millennium 10 Coin Proof Set. Presented in a black molded display tray under a clear protective cover, housed within a silver-grey slipcase featuring the “ROYAL MINT” logo and a large, stylized “2000” in a reflective finish. The set contains ten uncirculated or proof-quality coins: a bi-metallic Five Pounds coin inscribed “ANNO DOMINI 1999 2000”, two One Pound coins (one bearing a Welsh dragon with the motto “GWLAD PLEIDIOL WYF I”), three Fifty Pence coins (one depicting an open book marked “1850 2000”, another with a figure and text “WHAT’S STANDING ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS”), a Twenty Pence, a Ten Pence, a Two Pence, and a One Penny coin. The coins are composed of various metals including bi-metallic, silver-toned, and copper-toned alloys.
