Another New Auction
The lot features eight commemorative coins and medals, primarily from the late 20th century, celebrating British royal events. Leading the collection is a 1977 Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Crown (1952-1977), a silver-toned coin housed in a red plastic case. Also included are three identical sets of gold-toned coins commemorating H.M. Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother’s 90th Birthday (1990), each in a white card holder. Two identical silver-toned coins mark H.R.H. The Prince of Wales Royal Wedding, July 29th 1981, Lady Diana Spencer, presented in brown plastic and card cases. Completing the collection are two additional silver-toned Royal Wedding, July 29th 1981 coins, encased in blue plastic holders, one specifically bearing the text ‘Barclays Bank’. All coins and medals feature royal portraits and monograms.
