Another New Auction
This collection comprises twenty British silver or silver-colored alloy coins, primarily dating to the early 20th century. Clearly visible dates include “1929”, “1931”, and “1936”. The obverse of many coins depicts a crowned monarch, identifiable as King George V. Reverses feature various designs such as crowned “GR” monograms, crowned lions, and floral arrangements including roses, thistles, and shamrocks. Common inscriptions include “SIX PENCE”, “ONE SHILLING” (on one coin), “FID DEF” (Fidei Defensor – Defender of the Faith), and “IND IMP” (Indiae Imperator – Emperor of India).
