Another New Auction
A collection of photographic ephemera, comprising an open photo album and a varied assortment of postcards. The album, constructed of aged paper and cardboard, contains six black and white silver gelatin prints, likely early 20th-century, depicting scenes such as “Post Office and Government Life Insurance Buildings, Wellington, N.Z.”, “The Ship ‘Maori’ at the Ferry Wharf, Wellington N.Z.”, and “Waterfall on the Turakina River, N.Z.” Below the album are numerous color postcards, predominantly paper/cardstock, some featuring “Nevis” and “St. Kitts” themes, with visible text including “200 Years of Manned Flight” (suggesting a late 20th-century period), “Old Plantation,” and a “45c” stamp value. A stack of blank “The Rotophoto Postcard” blanks is also present.
