Another New Auction
A collection of seven studio pottery pieces by David Hinson of Stanford Hall Pottery. Each hand-thrown ceramic item features an off-white or cream glazed body, contrasted with a deep blue glaze on the upper half or rim. Hand-painted botanical motifs, including berries, leaves, and flowers in muted green, red, and brown hues, adorn the surfaces. The collection includes a large vase, various pitchers, and smaller jugs. One piece bears an impressed circular potter’s mark depicting a stylized ‘DH’ on its base, alongside a gold foil label stating: ‘Handmade by: DAVID HINSON STANFORD HALL POTTERY LUTTERWORTH LEICESTERSHIRE Home Tel: Leicester 877613.’ The largest vase has a yellow sticker marked ‘3637’.
