Another New Auction
A collection of seventeen decorative brass items, primarily featuring styles evocative of the late Victorian or Edwardian periods. Key objects include a large, high-heeled ladies’ boot ornament and a miniature ‘POST OFFICE’ pillar box bearing the ‘ER’ royal cypher. The collection also features a large circular plaque depicting a hunting scene with horses and riders, a decorative skeleton key, and an openwork trivet. The remaining twelve pieces are smaller brass ornaments, many styled as traditional horse brasses, displaying diverse motifs such as horses, deer, ships, and floral patterns. Visible inscriptions on these include ‘ALDEBURGH, ‘ ‘ROYAL POST, ‘ and ‘THE ROYAL FOREST, ‘ with one also showing the royal crest and ‘DIEU ET MON DROIT’ (God and my right).
