A collection of six decorative porcelain plates. This lot comprises a group of four Royal Doulton ‘The Wind in the Willows’ collector’s plates, produced by W.R.D. & Co. in 1983. These plates feature scalloped edges and are decorated with charming, pastel-toned illustrations of anthropomorphic animals in various settings, consistent with ‘The Wind in the Willows’ collection. Specific titles include ‘The Open Road, ‘ ‘The River Bank, ‘ ‘Dulce Domum, ‘ and ‘Home Sweet Home.’ Two of these plates have small white ‘1111’ stickers applied to their fronts.

The collection also includes two further decorative porcelain plates. One is round with smooth edges, featuring a light blue border depicting two children and bearing the inscription ‘Between you and me, you’re as nice as can be.’ Its reverse is marked ‘Brindley & Brothers, Staffordshire, England.’ The other plate is also round with smooth edges, featuring a teal border with a central pink rose and inscribed ‘Mother, You’ve been a lot dear Mother, In every kind of way, That’s why you’re wished true happiness On this and every Day.’ Its reverse is marked ‘Made in England.’
