Another New Auction
A set of four breakfast items by Hukin & Heath, designed by Christopher Dresser, featuring Royal Doulton dishes. This lot comprises two bimetallic egg cups, each with a tarnished silver-toned , designed to sit atop green-banded ceramic saucers. Also present are two additional matching ceramic saucers, one of which is fitted into a tarnished, handled metal holder. The saucers are marked on the underside with a green circular “ROYAL DOULTON MADE IN ENGLAND” stamp, featuring a crown and monogram. A metal clip on one saucer is inscribed “BREVETE S.G.D.G. N° 389990” (Patented, Without Government Guarantee, No. 389990). The visual style, combined with the markings, suggests an early 20th-century period, possibly Art Deco or Edwardian.
