Another New Auction
A pair of V.V. Carraresi 20th Century Italian Chinoiserie porcelain lidded jars. Each jar features a white ground and a matching lid topped with a molded white finial resembling a mythical lion or foo dog, accented with gold. The lids are adorned with dense polychrome floral and scroll patterns, bordered by gold trim. The taller jar’s body is decorated with vibrant polychrome floral sprays, including peonies and chrysanthemums, while the shorter jar’s body displays a detailed polychrome figural scene depicting robed individuals in a landscape with trees and architectural elements, also featuring gold accents. Both jars exhibit gold trim at the neck and base. A white sticker with the handwritten number “3928” is visible on the shoulder of the taller jar.
