Another New Auction
A Goebel porcelain figurine, model FR24, depicting a young male shepherd holding a lamb and a staff. The hand-painted glazed figurine stands on an ornate base with gilded accents. The underside is marked ‘FR 24’, with a blue Goebel mark, ‘W Germany’, a stylized M.I. Hummel bee mark, and dated ‘1969’. Accompanying this is a metallic bronze-toned statue of the Discobolus, depicting a classical athlete in mid-throw. The statue is inscribed ‘DISCOBOLUS’ on its dark rectangular base.
