Another New Auction
A group of three vintage stone planters, featuring classical revivalist decorative elements including grape and Greek key motifs. Each pot displays a wide, rounded rim and a tapering body; the most prominent planter exhibits a continuous Greek key (meander) pattern around its rim, with a central stylized floral or rosette medallion flanked by indistinct classical figures or scrollwork on its body. The other two planters show similar decorative bands and potentially figural motifs, though less distinct. Constructed from stone. All three items show significant signs of age and outdoor exposure, including extensive moss and lichen growth, surface erosion, and dirt accumulation, consistent with a heavily patinated and used condition.
Approximately 18 inches (45.7 cm) diameter each.
