Another New Auction
A pair of Art Deco carved mahogany bookends. Each features a solid, curved, and dome-shaped form atop a rectangular, stepped base. A decorative vertical band with carved floral or foliate motifs runs along the curved outer edge of each piece. One bookend displays a deeply carved circular medallion with the numbers “1935,” while the other features a deeply carved intertwined monogram, possibly “DC” or “GD,” within a similar medallion.
