Another New Auction
An antique French counter balance scale, dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. It features a polished wooden base, likely mahogany, topped with a white marble slab. The scale is fitted with two shallow, oval brass weighing pans. A circular brass indicator on the front of the base is marked ‘PORTÉE’ (Capacity) and ‘1 K’, indicating a 1 Kilogram capacity. Accompanying the scale is a separate set of nested, conical brass weights.
