ANOTHER GREAT
An Arabian Service Medal, crafted from a silver-toned metal, suspended from a gold-toned metal bar and a vertically striped ribbon of blue, yellow, and green. The obverse features the inscription “ARABIAN SERVICE” at the top, a central design of two crossed curved daggers (jambiyas) with a pickaxe-like implement, and the dates “1839 – 1967” at the bottom, all framed by a decorative floral border. The reverse displays a stylized dhow with “1839” over “1967” in the upper right, and the word “SERVICE” at the bottom, within the same decorative border. The gold-toned suspension bar bears Arabic script, which translates to “Service” (خدمة).
