A commemorative medal for the opening of the Northern Parliament, dating to 1921. This round, bronze-toned medallion features an attached brass-colored suspension loop. The obverse is inscribed: “THE NORTHERN PARLIAMENT OPENED ON THE 22ND DAY OF JUNE 1921 THE RT. HON SIR JAMES CRAIG BART. MBE PRIME MINISTER CITY HALL. BELFAST.” The reverse displays a crowned shield centered with a cross and an open hand, flanked by laurel or oak leaves, encircled by the text “TO COMMEMORATE THE OPENING OF THE NORTHERN PARLIAMENT.”
