ANOTHER GREAT
A collection of four commemorative medals and tokens, composed of non-precious metals such as brass, bronze, or copper. The group includes a coppery-hued medal depicting a laureate profile portrait of “GEORGE P REGENT” (referencing the Regency era, c. 1811-1820) and signed “T. WYON. JUN.”, identified through web intelligence as a Waterloo Medal by Thomas Wyon the Younger, commemorating the Battle of Waterloo on June 18, 1815. Also present is a yellowish metal token from 1980, housed in a plastic case marked “MADE IN GERMANY,” featuring a large stylized ‘T’ or ‘π’ within a laurel wreath, inscribed with “PRASANTHI NILAYAM.” A bronze-toned token, encased in a plastic holder marked “MADE IN UK,” displays a rectangular motif identifying it with the “GREATER MANCHESTER MUSEUM OF SCIENCE AND INDUSTRY.” The final item is a yellowish metal token dated 2015, sealed within a clear circular capsule, featuring a profile portrait with a turban and circumferential text mentioning “Soho House, Handsworth” and “Brief Sahib Malwinder Singh Ahluwalia.”
