ANOTHER GREAT
A studio pottery vase by Janet Upton for Slindon Pottery, featuring a bulbous body and a tall, narrow, ridged neck. The exterior is finished with an earthy brown and tan glaze, exhibiting visible horizontal wheel marks, and is adorned with an expressive, drippy abstract pattern in black and creamy white on the shoulder area. The base bears a printed label identifying it as ‘JANET UPTON. SLINDON POTTERY,’ with an address in ‘SLINDON. Nr ARUNDEL SUSSEX BN18 0RP’ and a telephone number, alongside a faint, impressed mark also reading ‘SLINDON POTTERY.’
