ANOTHER GREAT
A group comprising two Imperial German Iron Cross medallions and two wristwatches. The larger medallion, identified as a WWI Imperial German Iron Cross 1914 2nd Class, features a silver-tone metal frame with black enamel inlay, depicting a crown, the letter ‘W’, and the year ‘1914’ on its front. It is fitted with a suspension loop at the top. The smaller cross, of similar design, displays black enamel over a darker, possibly bronze-toned, metal, and is fitted with a pin-back mechanism. The first wristwatch is a round-cased Sekonda with a white dial featuring Arabic numerals, marked “18 JEWELS”, and attached to a worn black leather-patterned strap; its case back is stamped “033” and “WATERPROOF STAINLESS STEEL BACK”. The second wristwatch is a Seiko automatic, housed in a round silver-tone case with an integrated metal bracelet, featuring a black dial with baton markers and a day-date window displaying “JEU 15”; the case back is marked “SEIKO”, “WATER RESISTANT”, “STAINLESS STEEL”, and model numbers “971220” and “6309-8130”.
