ANOTHER GREAT
An Antique Ottoman Turkish hand-painted bone perfume bottle. This rectangular lidded container features hand-painted scenes in a Middle Eastern or Ottoman style. Figures in traditional attire, including turbans and robes, are depicted engaged in various activities. One scene shows three men, one possibly playing an instrument; another features a prominent seated figure, potentially smoking, attended by others. The top rim is adorned with a painted decorative band, and the lid has a simple round finial/applicator stick, also made of bone. A visible inscription, ‘ŞABİK’, is present near the base of one painted scene.
