ANOTHER GREAT
This lot comprises a Sterling Silver Weighted Candlestick and a clear cylindrical glass jar with a hallmarked Sterling Silver lid. The candlestick features a flared bobeche and a stepped, circular base with reeded decoration. While the base mark is indistinct, the form and material are consistent with weighted sterling silver candlesticks commonly found in the market. The accompanying glass jar exhibits a distinct diamond-cut pattern. Its domed Sterling Silver lid, complete with a finial and a spoon aperture, displays English hallmarks including ‘RC’ (maker’s mark), a lion passant (sterling silver standard), an anchor (Birmingham assay office), and a ‘P’ within a shield (date letter for 1889/1890). Both items appear to be of late 19th to early 20th-century manufacture.
