ANOTHER GREAT
A collection of six 20th-century British military cap badges. The collection comprises two Royal Air Force (RAF) King’s Crown cap badges, each featuring the ‘RAF’ monogram within a laurel wreath and surmounted by a crown, consistent with examples from the WWII to circa 1950 period. Further examples include a bimetal regimental badge for ‘THE ESSEX REGT’ depicting a castle, and another bimetal regimental badge for ‘NORTHAMPTONSHIRE’ featuring a castle and battle honours ‘GIBRALTAR’ and ‘TALAVERA’. Also present are a monometal white metal badge with a tank and the motto ‘FEAR NAUGHT’, and a white metal badge for the Royal Armoured Corps (RAC) depicting a gauntlet. The badges are primarily of bimetal construction (brass/gilt and white metal) or monometal white metal/gilt.
