ANOTHER GREAT
A pair of Michael Garman figural sculptures, comprising a golfer and a miner. The golfer figure depicts a male in a yellow sweater, mid-swing with a metal club, standing alongside a golf bag on a textured ‘grass’ base. The base features a label reading ‘PPP39 Golfer (Yellow Sweater) Takes Base-A’ and a repeating ‘HEREDITIES’ pattern with the number ‘4034’. The miner figure portrays a male in a grey waistcoat and helmet, leaning on a pickaxe, with his foot on ‘coal’ rocks on a textured ‘rock’ base. The miner’s base contains a visible music box mechanism and a faint impressed mark. Both figures appear to be cast from a resin-like material.
