The first is a Brass Sun Fire Insurance Plaque, featuring a stylized gilded sun face with radiating rays set against a blue ground, above a rectangular base displaying the black numbers ‘1710’. This type of plaque was historically affixed to insured properties by the Sun Fire Office and features two visible mounting holes. The second item is an ornate, adjustable Brass stand, intricately cast with openwork scroll and floral patterns. The stand exhibits an aged patina and is suitable for holding books or decorative plates.
