The model depicts a classical-style building with a prominent portico featuring columns and a pediment, a central dome, and a multi-tiered clock tower/spire. It is crafted from a cast metallic material, likely bronze or spelter, and exhibits a dark, somewhat uneven patina. Inscriptions on the base include ‘ROYAL EXCHANGE ASSURANCE’ on one side, and on another, more detailed text reads: ‘ROYAL EXCHANGE’, ‘LONDON’, ‘HEAD OFFICE OF THE’, ‘ROYAL EXCHANGE ASSURANCE’, and ‘INCORPORATED AD1720’. The building’s frieze also clearly displays ‘ROYAL EXCHANGE’.
